Welcome to the homepage of SUNDAY BLUES
NOT an association or society with membership, committee etc . . . just a regular Sunday afternoon Blues gig in Kingston Upon Hull, UK.
The purpose of SUNDAY BLUES is to give exposure in Hull to local, national and international Blues acts every Sunday afternoon between 1 & 5pm (doors 1pm, support act 2pm, main act 3 - 5pm) . . . there simply 'aint any better place to be on a Sunday afternoon.
PRESS RELEASE - FOR IMMEDIATE DISSEMINATION ...
After much deliberation it has been decided to discontinue the weekly Sunday Blues sessions. The appeal of
the Sunday pm gig-slot in Hull was, perhaps, overjudged . . . even when The Hull Daily Mail "got it
right" for The Cadillac Kings appearance on 23 Apr, the turnout was disappointing, this despite a low-price ticket policy with
concessions for the unwaged etc. Thanks go to everyone who has been involved with Sunday Blues over the
past 6 months . . . the bands & artists, the media, the venue and, most
of all the small nucleus of Sunday afternoon Blueshounds who were determined to have a good time & to enjoy the excellent performances
each week.
